Hard to judge service as currently they are only offering food 12-6pm. However, the service from the rising sun, where we checked into, was exceptional! Would like to think this kind of service will come over to rock house when fully up and running.
Staff tried really hard to be accommodating. There was a view of the river from the lovely bathroom. But there were no grab rails in the shower and it needs a non slip coating on the shower floor. Unfortunately the only accessible room is next to the washrooms of the pub. The Koti Sauna - bookable on line - is nearby with a fabulous view.
Really beautiful quaint property, owners very welcoming, friendly and helpful, nothing is to much trouble, room very clean, bed very comfortable for us, lovely on suite, great view’s, and everything you need, breakfast was delicious ( all locally sourced) and freshly cooked couldn’t fault our stay,
Walking the first 2 stages of the South West Coast path - it was lovely to arrive at the Rock on the end of day 2. Great food that night - room was immaculate and bed super comfy! Views amazing - loved it! Thank you
This hotel should be 5⭐ rating. We had a wonderful time, Gary and Pam were so welcoming and went above and beyond. Our room was beautifully decorated and had the most beautiful views of the seafront and also the harbour. We slept so well, bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was fantastic, very clean and good pressure (it didn’t just trickle down your back). Breakfast was phenomenal. Can’t wait to come and stay with you again. Many thanks Laura & Tom
Everything about our stay was perfect! Pam and Gary were the most welcoming hosts, we felt at home right away. The rooms were immaculate, cozy and warm, with stunning views of this beautiful town. I stayed at the Rock house just last week and the room was absolutely brilliant, the quality of breakfast exceptional and the hospitality from Gary and his team first rate.
Thank you for a lovely night in your beautiful hotel room with stunning views of the sea and river, and a powerful shower & :free parking— it was a great stay! The only downside was the £15 charge per dog per night, which I hadn’t encountered before. It’s something to consider if you're staying more than one night. The staff were friendly, and the area is perfect for couples. I didn’t eat at the hotel, but the meals I saw being served looked delicious. I highly recommend the fish and chips by the seafront — they were fantastic!
